London had the weekend of weekends. Meeting of Styles, Battle of Waterloo, Chrome and Black Jam… Not that I went to any of them but check out the Flickr Group for Meeting of Styles here for some stunning art from a few guys we’ve featured here on the In A State Blog.
Had a couple of messages this week asking if everything is ok in the world of In A State as there has been a lack of posts from us this past week.
Had a week off work and spent some time with the family and haven’t been opening the laptop at all which has restricted my posts. Not to mention my lack of travelling the many sites to capture art, and for that I apologise. As said in the title, “normal service to resume”.
I have a few pics still from my trip to Walsall in July so I’ll push them out to you all to make up for it a little.
Ohh and before I forget, Meeting of Styles is this weekend, so if any of you are in London then get yourselves down. For all us non Londoners, search the net (try Flickr) next week for pics as it will be stunning, the line up looks amazing.
Now I’m not a big fan of Os Gemeos if I’m honest but I am a massive fan of Lenny so I was intrigued to see how the collaboration would pan out. So today I was excited to see AM’s post featuring Futura’s additions finally making it onto the wall.
I’m not back in NYC till December, what chance of this still being intact to see in person I wonder………?
Finally inspired to take a trip over to the Copperworks in Walsall after seeing this piece by Diva. So, seeing as it was his art that pushed me to take the trip, here’s a selection of his work down there that I caught sight of.
I only recently got into Vermins work when I was totally blow away by this piece I stumbled upon in Coventry back in April. After a brief chat with the man himself he told me about his solo show and how he had purposely arranged it for the time of my Birthday so I could celebrate in the wonderful City of Bristol.
Now some of that might not be true and they plumped for the great date of 10/10/10 for the solo show entitled Room 101. Now Dale has released the flyer I’ll be pimping this out more towards the date. Read flyer for full details.
Got the shout from Taks about them painting in Leicester at the weekend. The plan was to go down to meet up with them again but the Stag Do this weekend ended up starting earlier than agreed which I didn’t mind but my head the next day did… Aaaaaaaanyway…. I got down to the spot today only to find Tamols piece, which was a dedication for his daughters birthday, had been dogged already. So big thanks to Tamol for the use of his pic from Flickr.
