Static Mist Theme
by O.Two
London-based artist O.Two creates work influenced by New York graffiti, teenage delinquency and 70’s heavy rock.
Working initially with spray paint on walls and vertical surfaces, he has built a working process that, when applied to canvas, lures the viewer into mists of dark, ambient colour illuminated by bold, abstract gestures.
Static Mist is a collection of images created from canvas and mural work painted specifically for the Studio and then carefully cropped and manipulated to offer close-up glimpses of the guilty rhythm running through the work.

Yakuza 3

Overview: Yakuza 3 brings the expansive and storied franchise to the PlayStation 3 for the first time. The series thus far has relied on fantastic storytelling, lots of choices in what you’ll do and where you’ll go and intense action sequences, and Yakuza 3 looks like it’ll take all of those elements to the next level. It’s also a very, very good-looking game, and given the level of presentation in previous installments, could be approaching Hollywood-esque storytelling levels.
Why It’s Hot: The Yakuza franchise has taken a unique approach to the open-world genre by not really giving you a ton of places to go, but instead giving you a lot to do in the world. I appreciate this take a ton as it requires less searching the city for something to do, and you can more easily take a relaxed approach to playing when you need a break, rather than running around and punching old ladies in the head.

GT5 Cover

Firstly may I take the opportunity to wish a Happy New Year to all Gran Turismo fans.
To kick start the year I have some news for those eagerly anticipating all things related to the world of the ‘real driving simulator’.
We can confirm the cover for this year’s must-have title will feature what some motoring journalists are acclaiming as the car of 2010 – the Mercedes Benz SLS AMG.
The SLS is due to be officially launched at the Geneva Motorshow in March. A spiritual successor to the 1954 300SL Gullwing, the SLS is every bit as astounding a piece of automotive engineering as the original 300SL was in its heyday. The statistics are no less impressive either; the power behind those graceful looks is delivered by a 6.2litre V8 which propels the supercar from 0-60 in just 3.8 seconds and on to a top speed close to 200mph.
The SLS is one of the first cars to be entirely designed by Mercedes Benz’s AMG division and their tuning expertise is clearly evident in the handling of the car which has been variously described by the motoring media as hugely engaging and utterly exciting.
This dynamic and groundbreaking vehicle was a natural choice to grace the cover of Gran Turismo 5 and we expect it to be a hell of a lot of fun to drive and race in the game.
Whet your appetite with some screenshots of this drop-dead gorgeous aluminium supermodel and keep a look out for further news on Gran Turismo 5 and the SLS AMG on PlayStation Blog.
